About Me

I am Christina Herr, a woman on a  journey to:

  • Live a life that pleases God (I mess this up all the time...raise your hand if you do too. Okay, great, I’m not the only one!)
  • Be the best wife and mother I can be
  • Encourage others
  • Keep up with the laundry...

I have been married to my husband, Chris since 2006, and together we have three children, two boys and a girl. Christopher is our adventurous, curious 8 year old, Jackson is our sweet but silly 5 year old, and I like to call our 4 year-old, Evelyn, my jalapeño sugar cookie--a strong mix of spicy and sweet!  They make our life hilarious, beautiful, maddening, messy, entertaining, exhausting, frustrating and incredibly worth-while all at once. I also hold a Masters of Education in Literacy Instruction and teach 4th grade at a public school in southeast Michigan. When I have a spare moment, you will find me reading, writing, or watching a movie with my husband after the kids go to bed, and desperately trying to stay awake.

Here in my little corner of cyberspace, I will share encouragement and personal stories about motherhood, marriage, faith, and family life. Be sure to follow my Facebook page, Instagram, and Pinterest to see what’s happening around here!

About Laughter Without Fear

Proverbs 31:25, when speaking of the figurative Wife of Noble Character, states:

“She is clothed with strength and dignity, and laughs without fear of the future.” (New Living Testament)

What a beautiful and admirable goal. However, sometimes that last part, laughing without fear of the future, can be a bit of a challenge. To laugh without fear of the future is to exhibit confidence in the days to come. To feel equipped, encouraged, prepared, and ready to handle whatever comes your way. But here’s the thing: that. is. hard. We can’t do it on our own. And that’s where I'd like Laughter Without Fear to enter the scene.

Here I will share words of encouragement and stories that connect us to help you feel more equipped to take on tomorrow as a mother, wife, and woman in general. My posts will be a mixture of informative, emotional, and humorous, because that's a reflection of my real life. I want to share all of this not because I already have all of the answers-far from it-but because I’m still searching for them, and I would love to let you know what I find along the way!

I'm so glad you're here, so grab a cup of something you love, settle in, and stay awhile.
